Diceat Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 7, 2026

Diceat is built to know as little about you as possible. This policy describes the whole picture.

No account, no identity.

Diceat has no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. We cannot identify you, and we don't try to.

Location.

When you roll, the app asks your device for your approximate location and sends it to our server for one purpose: finding restaurants near you. Your location is used transiently to perform that search and is not stored, logged, linked to any identity, or shared with anyone other than our restaurant-data provider (below) as part of the search request.

IP address.

Our server uses your IP address transiently to enforce fair-use rate limits that keep the service free. IP addresses are held in memory only for the current day's counting and are not written to permanent storage, linked to identity, or used for tracking.

Restaurant data.

Restaurant results, photos, and ratings are provided by Google Places. Your search (coordinates and filters) is relayed to Google through our server to retrieve results. Google's handling of that request is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

What we don't do.

No analytics SDKs, no advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or sharing of personal data. Roll history and preferences are stored only on your device; deleting the app deletes them.

Children.

Diceat does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes.

If this policy changes, the update will appear on this page with a new effective date.
